Restaurants & Bars in BALI

Much like my time in Saigon, I often have people asking ‘what must I do when I visit Bali?!’ So with the intention of steering you in the right direction, I share my top tips on where to stay / eat / drink / do yoga and more below. I hope you find it helpful, if you have any other questions about Bali, you know where to find me.

One point I like to highlight is that you can quickly fall down a rabbit hole when searching for places to visit, as there are so many options for pretty much everything. There really is something to suit all budgets and preference. This list is non-exhaustive and updates regularly.

I will begin with my home in Bali, which is Ubud.

Where to stay in Ubud

  1. Without a doubt, staying in a private pool villa at Viceroy Bali is a must! The resort was opened in 2005 by an Australian family, who have developed the resort into a multiple award winning destination. When reading reviews, the consistency in service and quality of product is what is highlighted. In total there are 40 pool villas, along with two restaurants, one of which, Apéritif, is a fine-dining destination restaurant which has been voted Indonesia’s Best Restaurant amongst numerous other awards. There is also a more relaxed, yet beautiful all-day dining restaurant called CasCades within the property.
